Lucknow, With the aim of motivating students to play an active role in nation-building and introducing them to the career opportunities available in the defense services, an impressive *Career Guidance Session* on the topic *”Career in Defense Services: A Noble Career in the Service of the Nation”* was organized at *Farheen Group of Institutions, Mehtab Bagh, Lucknow* in collaboration with *Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP)* and *Zakat Foundation of India (ZFI), SSCGC Lucknow Unit*.
The keynote speaker of the program, *Colonel Fasih Ahmed (Retd.)*, provided students with detailed information about the various career opportunities available in the Indian *Army, Navy, and Air Force*. He elaborated on various entry schemes, including *NDA, CDS, AFCAT*, the selection process, the required qualifications, and preparation strategies. The students participated enthusiastically and understood various aspects of the defense services through their questions.
In his inspiring address, *Colonel Fasih Ahmed* said,
> *”The Indian Armed Forces are not just a means of employment, but the highest opportunity for discipline, leadership, character building, and national service. Every student should view the defense services not just as a career, but as a duty and honor to the country.”*
The program also highlighted that *regular career guidance sessions* in schools and colleges are the need of the hour. Such programs introduce students to various career options in a changing world, develop their self-confidence, enhance their ability to make informed decisions, and make them serious and aware of their goals. Interaction with experienced experts provides students with new direction, inspiration, and practical guidance.

*Mrs. Samina Alvi*, State Secretary of *Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), Uttar Pradesh*, expressed her views, saying,
> *”In today’s competitive era, students need not only education but also the right career direction. AMP’s objective is to provide students with the right knowledge and guidance.” The aim is to help them become self-reliant, aware, and successful citizens by connecting them with experts, opportunities, and guidance.”*
The program saw active participation from both students and teachers. All participants described such programs as extremely useful and emphasized the need to organize such career guidance sessions regularly in the future.
