Lucknow: The results of the West Bengal Assembly elections have dealt a major blow to the INDI alliance of opposition parties. Its impact is now being felt in the politics of other states as well. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has canceled his deal with the election strategy firm I-PAC.
It is being reported that Akhilesh Yadav had hired I-PAC for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, but changed his decision after the Trinamool Congress’s defeat in Bengal. Despite I-PAC handling the TMC’s election strategy and management in Bengal, the party suffered a crushing defeat.
This decision is being seen in political circles as a major shift in strategy ahead of the 2027 elections. The results in West Bengal and Assam have also intensified the turmoil within the INDI alliance. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav has now entered the fray and is currently engaged in election preparations. He is visiting Shahjahanpur, where he will meet with local party leaders to discuss strategies to strengthen the organization and establish a strong presence at the booth level.
The BJP currently holds all six assembly seats in Shahjahanpur district, where the Samajwadi Party failed to even open its account last time. The party is now trying to balance its traditional MY (Muslim-Yadav) equation, as the district is considered to have a significant Muslim voter base.
